This competition highlights projects that demonstrate measurable impact, innovation, and long-term sustainability in IPC.

  • Deadline of Abstract Submission: 1 October 2026

  • Notification of Abstract Acceptance: 10 October 2026

  • Display of IPC Projects: 7-8 November 2026

  • Top-selected projects will be invited for oral presentations as part of the conference scientific program.

  • The committee reserves the right to extend deadlines. Any updates will be announced via social media and email.

Submission Criteria

Participants are required to ensure their projects meet the following criteria for submission, Click the dropdown arrow for details:

Relevance to Infection Prevention and Control (IPC)

The project must address a specific issue, challenge, or improvement in IPC within healthcare settings.

Innovation and Creativity

Projects should demonstrate innovative approaches, tools, or strategies that provide unique solutions to IPC challenges.

Impact and Outcomes

Submissions must include measurable data or evidence showcasing the project's effectiveness in improving IPC practices

Highlight tangible outcomes, such as reductions in infection rates or improved compliance with IPC protocols

Sustainability and Scalability

The project should be sustainable over time and adaptable for implementation in other healthcare settings or organizations

Methodology and Scientific Rigor

Submissions should detail a clear and well-structured methodology, including objectives, implementation steps, and evaluation metrics.

Collaboration and Teamwork

Highlight the involvement of multidisciplinary teams or collaborations within the organization to achieve project goals

Presentation and Clarity

The submission should be well-organized, concise, and clearly articulate the problem, intervention, results and impact.

Visual aids (e.g., graphs, tables, and images) are encouraged to support the presentation

Ethical and Professional Standards

Maintain patient confidentiality and data protection

Avoid inclusion of identifiable patient information

Comply with institutional and ethical guidelines

Submission Guidelines / Content

Poster Content:

  • Title: Include the project title, names of authors, and their affiliations.

  • Introduction: Provide a concise overview of the problem and the rationale for the intervention.

  • Objectives: Clearly outline specific objectives of the project.

  • Intervention Details: Describe the approach, methodology, and techniques applied.

  • Results: Highlight key findings such as reduction in HAIs, compliance improvement, impact on patient safety, etc.

  • Data Visualization: Include graphs, charts, or tables to illustrate results.

  • Discussion: Briefly discuss the significance of the results, and the role of the intervention in achieving outcomes and any relevant insights.

  • Conclusion: Summarize the overall impact of project’s impact on IPC practices and recommendations for future advancements.

  • References: List any key references or resources cited in the project.

Evaluation Process

A panel of experts will evaluate all submissions based on the criteria above.

  • Accepted Posters will be presented during the 5th KSA ID Week on 6-8 November 2026.

  • Top-selected projects will be invited for oral presentations during the Congress.

Terms of Acceptance

By submitting your IPC Project to the 5th Annual KSA ID Week, you agree to the following terms:

  • IPC Projects will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee, and selected projects will be accepted for e-poster and/or oral presentation.

  • If accepted, you will be required to register and complete payment to confirm your participation and inclusion in the official program.

  • All accepted IPC Projects must be prepared according to the specifications that will be provided upon acceptance.

  • Once submitted, IPC projects cannot be modified or withdrawn.

  • The organizing committee reserves the right to reject IPC Projects that do not meet scientific or formatting standards.

IPC Excellence Project Main Presenter / Author Details

The main presenter or presenting author is the submitter and is responsible for presenting their IPC Excellence Project at the KSA ID Week Conference as part of the scientific program.

IPC Excellence Project Details

Your IPC Excellence Project should provide a concise overview of your research, including the objective, methodology, key findings, and conclusion. The content must be clear, well-structured, and limited to 300 words, written in English.

Co- Author Details

Please list a maximum of ten (10) co-authors involved in the project. In the event of any last-minute changes, only one of the listed co-authors may be appointed as the new presenting author. The original presenting author will remain the primary point of contact for all communications regarding the oral presentation.
